GREETINGS FROM JAN- ACTIVITIES DIRECTOR

Jan was born and raised in Coos Bay, Oregon. She graduated from Marshfield High School and started college at Southwestern Oregon Community College and trained to go into the banking and financial industry. Twelve years later Jan had the opportunity to return to college and studied to be a teacher. She graduated in 1995 and became a substitute teacher. Jan fell in love with middle school and high school teaching. Jan met her husband during this time and they eventually moved to Longview. Her husband is a Sports Editor for the Longview Daily News. Jan enjoys attending East Hills AllianceChurch in Kelso where she loves singing on the worship team. Jan became New Westside Terrace’s Activity Director in the summer of 2004. She fell instantly in love with the residents and staff and decided to stay on permanently when the summer ended.
